Director General Conducts High-Level Assessment of Milak Border Operational and Infrastructure Status

Ahmad Jamshidi, Director General of the Department for Technical and Engineering Affairs at the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, undertook an official visit to the Milak border in Sistan and Baluchestan province to evaluate its operational and infrastructural status.
The inspection was conducted to deliver a comprehensive appraisal of the border's infrastructure, utilities and amenities, while monitoring the advancement of projects currently under implementation.
As one of the most strategically significant border crossings between Sistan and Baluchestan province and Afghanistan, the Milak border serves a pivotal function in facilitating the transport of goods, managing transit operations and expanding regional trade. The enhancement of the terminal’s technical infrastructure remains a foremost priority for the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, reflecting its broader commitment to strengthening the national road transport network and advancing economic development along the nation’s borders.
During the mission, Mr. Jamshidi also reviewed the facilities and essential requirements of the administrative building of the Zabol County Road Maintenance and Transportation Department.
He was accompanied by the Director General of the Sistan and Baluchestan Road Maintenance and Transportation Department, the Deputy for Management Development and Resources, and the Deputy for Technical and Rural Roads.
