PMO News Portal,  Hormozgan, Iran — Cargo handling operations at ports across Hormozgan Province have exceeded eight million tons during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March–October 2025), underscoring the sustained momentum in the region’s maritime trade activities.

According to the latest statistics, a total of 8,087,591 tons of oil and non-oil commodities were loaded and unloaded, reflecting a 7% growth compared to the same period last year. Of this figure, 3,593,291 tons consisted of oil products, while 4,494,300 tons were non-oil goods — the latter showing a significant 26% increase year-on-year.

The Ports and Maritime Administration of Hormozgan reported that this upward trend highlights the rising role of ports within Iran’s national maritime trade network. Leveraging their strategic location and operational capacity, these ports continue to serve as key logistics hubs for the southern trade corridors of the country.
