The Acting Director General of the Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Directorate announced a growth of more than 250 percent in cargo loading and unloading operations at this port in the first six months of the current year, and stated that vehicle transit at this commercial port has surpassed the threshold of 10,000 units, setting a new record.

PMO News Portal -  Hamidreza Mohammadhosseini Takhti, explaining the latest performance status at Sirik Port, stated: "Through the round-the-clock efforts of this directorate's staff and the effective synergy of the private sector and investors, the performance indicators of Sirik Port have witnessed a significant increase; so much so that in the first half of the current year, the volume of cargo loading and unloading operations experienced a leap of more than 250 percent."

Referring to the flourishing of vehicle transit at this coastal port, he added: "Through the executive measures undertaken, a record of more than 10,000 vehicles in transit was registered at Sirik Port, which reflects the expanding capacities and the strategic position of this port in the maritime trade chain."

The Acting Director General of the Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Directorate referred to the active presence of the shipping fleet and said: "Currently, approximately 10 shipping line companies support the operations of cargo movement, loading, and transfer at this port, which have played a significant role in enhancing the region's logistical capability."

Mohammadhosseini Takhti, also emphasizing the process of infrastructure development and private sector participation, clarified: "The physical progress of investment projects at Sirik Port has reached 60 percent."

In this regard, he stated: "One of the most important recent construction measures is the preparation and construction of a transit vehicle parking area spanning 13,000 square meters, which is nearing operation with the aim of accelerating the berthing and loading-unloading process."

In conclusion, the Acting Director General of the Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Directorate noted: "The improvement of customs procedures, the facilitation of the loading and unloading process, and the acceleration of port and maritime services have made Sirik Port's performance charts completely positive, creating a bright horizon of economic prosperity and commercial growth for this commercial port in the south of the country."
