An Aeromexico Embraer ERJ-190AR crashed shortly after takeoff from Guadalupe Victoria Airport in the state of Durango, Mexico, July 31. The airline said there were 101 people onboard, but no reports of fatalities.

Aeromexico said the accident aircraft was operating as flight AM2431, which was scheduled to depart Durango at about 3 p.m. local time, destined for Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City. On Twitter, the airline said it was “aware of an accident” and investigating further.

The airline confirmed later on Tuesday evening that 97 passengers and four crew were onboard. "At present time we have no reports of any fatalities," Aeromexico said on its website. "Our first priority is to ensure the security of our passengers and crew onboard this aircraft."
