During an inspection tour of development projects across southern Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Ali Khaneghaie stressed that the Rimdan border initiative is a strategic necessity aimed at establishing a systematic, safe and internationally compliant infrastructure to reinforce Iran’s southeastern role in regional commerce.
He underscored that the project’s core objectives include sustainable and standardized management of both freight and passenger movement, the creation of a reliable network of border services, enhanced safety standards, and alignment with global operational benchmarks — all key elements in advancing the nation’s connectivity and competitiveness in cross border trade.
Highlighting the forward looking vision of the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, Khaneghaie reiterated that building a modern, secure, and future oriented border in Rimdan is essential for meeting the country’s growing transit needs while boosting Iran’s strategic position within regional transport corridors.
This project is widely expected to accelerate commerce, modernize logistics, and elevate Southeast Iran as a pivotal hub linking national and international markets.
