Implementation of Road Maintenance and Infrastructure Projects at the KilehSardasht Border in West Azerbaijan Province

The RMTO Director General of West Azerbaijan Province announced the execution of a series of road maintenance and infrastructure projects at the KilehSardasht Border. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing safety and accessibility while fostering trade exchanges and driving economic growth in border regions.

Arsalan Shokri detaileing the key projects completed this year, stressed their impact, while among them are the patching and resurfacing of the two-kilometers entry route, the clearance of encroachments on road boundaries, the improvement of visibility over a 400-meter stretch, the construction of a two-kilometers shoulder, and the installation of a separation wall at the border point.

Additionally, he highlighted other significant measures undertaken in the current year, including the construction and deployment of a water reservoir, addressing water breaches and implementing drainage solutions, shoulder construction and graveling along the border route, 100 meters of asphalt paving at the border entrance, and the renovation of internal border routes.
