Parvizkhan Border Designated as Khosravi's Commercial Alternative during Arbaeen Pilgrimage
In an effort to enhance the safety and efficiency of the Arbaeen pilgrimage traffic, commercial and transit activities at the Khosravi Border have been temporarily suspended. The Director General of Road Maintenance and Transport for Kermanshah Province announced that economic operations have been redirected to the Parvizkhan and Sumar borders.

According to Mr. Khosravi, the significant influx of Arbaeen pilgrims traveling through the region's transport corridors. He explained that the temporary restrictions at Khosravi Border aims to streamline traffic management, ensure road safety and facilitate the pilgrims' traffic.
"From August 2nd to 15th, during the special Arbaeen plan, all commercial and goods transit activities will be transferred to Parvizkhan and Sumar borders," Mr. Khosravi added. "These two borders will serve as alternative transit routes for economic activities during this period."
Mr. Khosravi also stressed the strategic importance of the Parvizkhan border, describing it as one of the national key export crossings to Iraq. "The Parvizkhan border is equipped with outstanding infrastructure, advanced technical capabilities and a long-standing reputation in foreign trade," he stated. "Its proximity to the Khosravi border, makes it an ideal temporary alternative for managing economic activities."
He also underlined the role of the Sumar border, located in the southwest of Kermanshah Province, in supporting commercial and transit operations. "Sumar is fully prepared to provide seamless services to economic stakeholders, and all necessary measures have been implemented to facilitate smooth operations during this period," Mr. Khosravi noted.
Expressing gratitude to merchants, drivers and transportation operators for their dedicated cooperation, Mr. Khosravi urged them to adopt well-coordinated plans to redirect their activities to the alternative borders. This, he said, would ensure that the transport flow at the Khosravi border remains uninterrupted for the pilgrims.
The temporary adjustments underscore the province's commitment to prioritizing the safety and comfort of Arbaeen pilgrims while maintaining the continuity of economic activities through efficient alternative routes.
