Stadler Polska has celebrated the production of its 1,000th vehicle at its Siedlce plant, which was first established in 2006.
The vehicle in question is a five-car electric FLIRT unit, which has been produced to join the operating fleet of Koleje Mazowieckie, which was also one of the first clients to receive a unit from the plant 18 years ago.
Stadler Polska is set to deliver up to 75 of the new trains to serve routes across the Mazovia region, with the aforementioned vehicle forming part of an order first placed in 2024 by the operator.
Radosław Banach, CEO of Stadler Polska, said:
Producing the 1,000th vehicle at our Siedlce plant is a great achievement of which we are extremely proud. By focusing on innovation, quality, and local engagement, we have earned the trust of customers across Europe.
Since its inception; the Siedlce plant has produced vehicles for 18 European countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Norway, the United Kingdom, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, and Spain.
Currently, Stadler has 237 vehicles operating throughout Poland decked in the livery of PKP Intercity, Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna, Koleje Śląskie, MPK Kraków and Koleje Mazowieckie.
Adam Struzik, Marshal of Mazovia Voivodeship, said:
The 1,000th vehicle produced at Stadler’s Siedlce plant, which will operate on Mazovian tracks in Koleje Mazowieckie livery, is a perfect summary of our long-standing and fruitful cooperation. Currently, Koleje Mazowieckie operates 71 Stadler vehicles, and in the coming years, the operator’s fleet will increase by another 64 units.
Once the current order is complete, Koleje Mazowieckie will operate a total of 135 FLIRT vehicles, with a further contract for 11 units still in the works.
