On the eve of Government Week, 13 construction, infrastructure, and equipment projects in Bushehr Province's ports, valued at 44,030 billion rials (approximately $880 million), were inaugurated or had their executive operations commenced in a ceremony attended by the province's governor and a number of local officials.

PMO News Portal - Siavash Arjomandzadeh, Director General of Ports and Maritime of Bushehr Province, stated that executive operations for seven projects in the province's ports, with a total allocation of 41,708 billion rials, have begun concurrently with Government Week.

Among the most significant projects, he highlighted the completion of infrastructure facilities at the Negin Port Complex with 25,000 billion rials, establishing fiber optic connectivity for the Negin Port Complex (NAVTEX international station), the vessel registration and inspection office, and the Shahid Mehrab Haghgoo passenger terminal with 459 billion rials, as well as the procurement, installation, and commissioning of telephone exchange switches for Bushehr Port and its subordinate ports with 439 billion rials, and the supply, installation, and commissioning of video surveillance equipment for Bushehr and Genaveh ports with 8,214 billion rials.

Arjomandzadeh also noted the procurement and creation of video monitoring infrastructure for Bushehr Port with 1,790 billion rials, the purchase of electronic, telecommunications, and measurement equipment for Bushehr Port and its subordinate ports with 961 billion rials, and the procurement of equipment and spare parts for pollution control vessel "Daryapak 1" with 4,845 billion rials as other Government Week projects in the province's ports.

The director general also announced the commissioning of six projects worth 2,322 billion rials during Government Week.

These projects include major overhauls of the directorate's search and rescue vessels with 126 billion rials, backshore development and asphalt paving of the Boualkhair Port area with 300 billion rials, and construction of a rescue floating dock and access bridge at Lavar-e Saheli Port with 57 billion rials.

Additional inaugurated projects include major repairs to pollution control vessel "Daryapak 1" with 96 billion rials, major overhauls of the directorate's owned vessels including multi-cat "Noor 1" and pollution control barge "Pakboom 5" with 59 billion rials, and the purchase of spare parts for search and rescue vessels with 1,684 billion rials.

Arjomandzadeh emphasized that the inauguration and implementation of these projects are aimed at developing port infrastructure, enhancing maritime safety, increasing service levels, and strengthening the operational capacities of Bushehr Province's ports.
