PMO Managing Director’s Visit to Golestan Boosts Prospects for Maritime Development
The representative of west of Golestan Province: presence of the PMO’s managing director plays an important role in promoting maritime-oriented growth in Golestan, enabling better use of national resources to advance the development of coastal provinces.
PMO News Portal, Golestan, Iran — Abdoljalal Eiri, Member of Parliament representing western Golestan Province, described the visit of Saeid Rasouli, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Managing Director of the Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO), as a key step toward strengthening maritime-based development in the province.
Eiri stated that by leveraging the capacities of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and the Ports and Maritime Organization, Golestan can expect tangible improvements in local economic conditions, employment, and trade. He emphasized that Rasouli’s presence would help unlock the province’s coastal potential and lay the groundwork for job creation, improved cargo exchange, and enhanced commercial activity.
The lawmaker also expressed optimism that the visit would lead to constructive decisions at both the provincial and national levels, supporting sustainable growth and improving livelihoods across Golestan.
During the visit, Rasouli, accompanied by members of the PMO’s executive board and Eiri, inspected Golestan’s port infrastructure and projects, including the passenger and tourism piers of Bandar Torkaman and Bandar-e-Gaz. The delegation also met with the provincial governor to discuss strategies for boosting maritime and economic cooperation.
