Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Chairman of Iran’s Road Maintenance and Transport Organization, alongside Tajikistan’s Deputy Transport Minister, Visit Sarakhs Border

H.E. Mr. Reza Akbari, Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Chairman of Iran Road Maintenance and Transport Organization, accompanied by H.E. Ms. Shayeste Moradzadeh, Deputy Minister of Transport of Tajikistan, conducted an on-site visit of the zero-point border crossing (the concrete bridge) and the Sarakhs Border Crossing.

During the visit, the officials reviewed and assessed the implementation progress of the comprehensive development plan for the Sarakhs Border, as well as the rail transport infrastructure. Particular stress was placed on accelerating the civil engineering works along the Mashhad-Sarakhs corridor, leveraging funds allocated by Iran’s Road Maintenance and Transport Organization.

The visit was also attended by the Director General of Road Maintenance and Transport of Razavi (Central) Khorasan Province, the Governor of Sarakhs and the Director of the Sarakhs Border.
