Coordination Meeting Held Among Agencies at Rimdan Border

A coordination meeting of agencies stationed at the Rimdan border crossing was held with the aim of facilitating exports, imports and the smooth movement of commercial road fleets.

The session was attended by Mehran Ghorbani, Deputy Minister for Transport at the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development; Reza Akbari, Deputy Minister and Chairmab of the Road Maintenance and Transport Organization; and Mr. Bijarzehi, Member of Parliament representing Chabahar County.

Participants discussed traffic monitoring, the acceleration of border procedures, the organization of entry and departure points for commercial fleets, measures to facilitate international transport in the field of exports and imports and the handling of drivers’ professional concerns.

Key topics included the implementation of strict short-term control and oversight at terminal entry points to prevent congestion and traffic bottlenecks among cargo fleets and to establish order in the border area; the adoption of immediate operational measures to accelerate unloading, loading and customs formalities, significantly reducing freight vehicle waiting times at the border; continued comprehensive coordination and cooperation among executive agencies stationed at the terminal to integrate processes; support for the development of exports and cargo transit; and the pursuit of solutions to the problems and demands of road transport drivers.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of Customs, the Border Market and the Chabahar Free Trade-Industrial Zone, the Deputy for Technical and Rural Roads, the Director General of the Office for Technical Affairs and Building Engineering, the Director General of the Transit and International Transport Bureau, and the Director General of Road Maintenance and Transport for southern Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
