Transit of Nearly 8 Million Tons of Goods through the National Road Network in the First Half of Iranian Year
The Director General of Transit and International Transport at the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization announced the transit of 7,958,577 tons of goods during the first half of this year, facilitated by 361,323 trips made by international transport fleets within Iran territory.

According to Javad Hedayati: During this period, 7,600,836 tons of inbound and outbound goods were transported via the country's land borders through more than 326,000 trips by cargo transport fleets.
He further elaborated: Of this total, 6,344,275 tons of goods were exported through 269,155 trips, while 1,256,561 tons of goods were imported into the country through 56,913 trips by freight vehicles.
The Director General also highlighted the private sector's infrastructural capacities in the scope of transport, stressing that 2,621 companies are currently active in international freight transport, alongside 65 companies and branches operating in international passenger transport.
Mr. Hedayati reported the activity of over 51,000 public transport vehicles with an average age of 12 years in the country's international transportation lines. He added that 63,000 skilled and professional drivers are currently engaged in international trade operations, concluding that by noting that 26 borders across 12 provinces are actively facilitating the continuous exchange of goods and passengers between Iran and neighboring countries, playing a critical role in regional trade and connectivity.
