Heydari emphasized the pivotal role that land border crossings play in achieving the 40-million-ton annual transit target outlined in the 7th National Development Plan. He highlighted the need for a strategic focus on infrastructure and process management, enhanced coordination among organizations and institutions at the border, and fostering collaboration between border terminals on either side of the crossings. He also stressed the importance of adopting modern approaches to streamline the organization and management of land border terminals.

Reiterating the principle that “a border is a passage, not a point of stoppage,” Heydari underscored the Council’s commitment to fostering seamless and synchronized operations across all border terminals. He asserted that the Council’s efforts aim to ensure that all stakeholders in trade and international transportation benefit from improved efficiency and coordination at these vital gateways.
