26% Escalation in Cargo Transport in Sistan and Baluchestan Over Four Months
Sistan and Baluchestan Province has recorded a remarkable 26% growth in goods movement during the first four months of the current Iranian Year (March 20–July 21, 2025), compared to the same period last year. This achievement underscores the province's burgeoning economic activities and enhanced transport efficiency.

According to Deputy for Transport at the Directorate General for Road Maintenance and Transportation of Sistan and Baluchestan, a total of 1,852,518 tons of cargo were moved during this period. Of this, 1,576,671 tons were transported within the province, while 275,847 tons were moved to destinations outside the province.
Mr. Bagheri highlighted that the primary cargo transport during this timeframe included cement, oil products and flour, attributing the growth to a surge in economic activity and significant improvements in the operational performance of the province's freight transport fleet.
This growth in goods movement reflects the dynamic economic landscape of Sistan and Baluchestan, signaling its increasing importance in the national logistics and transportation network.
