HAECO Breaks Ground On New Xiamen Engine Shop
HAECO Group has broken ground on a new facility in Xiamen, China, aimed at expanding maintenance, repair and overhaul of more engine types, including the Engine Alliance GP7200, General Electric CF34-10A and GE9X.

HAECO Group has broken ground on a new facility in Xiamen, China, aimed at expanding maintenance, repair and overhaul of more engine types, including the Engine Alliance GP7200, General Electric CF34-10A and GE9X.
The new building for HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) covers 4,420 m2, with a total floor area of 10,015 m2 across two levels at Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport. Work on the facility is set to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026.
The CF34-10A powers the Comac C909 regional airliner while the GE9X will equip the new Boeing 777-9 when it enters service.
HAECO has had a presence in Xiamen since 2008 and opened a Phase 2 building in 2011. The company is also a licensed GE90 Service Provider and holds the GE90 GE Branded Service Agreement (GBSA) in Asia.
The Aviation Week Network Fleet Discovery database shows Asia Pacific, including China and India, will be home to 130 777-9 family aircraft. Cathay Pacific will be the region’s largest 777-9 operator with 35 777-9s on order.
