The Deputy for Maritime Affairs of the General Department of Ports and Maritime of Hormozgan, referring to the capacities and strategic position of this province, said: "With more than 22,000 registered vessels, numerous commercial ports, 29 public breakwaters, and more than 2,300 kilometers of coastal strip, Hormozgan enjoys a unique position in the field of maritime traffic in the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman region."

Referring to the comprehensive directive on organizing vessels and disciplining maritime traffic in internal and territorial waters, he clarified: "Based on this directive, duties and responsibilities have been assigned to the responsible bodies in two sections — 'management and organization of maritime traffic' and 'dealing with and determining the status of unauthorized vessels and preventing the traffic of vessels without identity' — within the framework of laws and regulations, including the Anti-Smuggling Law."

The Deputy for Maritime Affairs of the General Department of Ports and Maritime of Hormozgan continued: "In line with the implementation of legal duties and assigned responsibilities, this General Department has always taken effective measures in the field of organizing vessels and maritime traffic and has been introduced as one of the top bodies in this regard."
