Mauritania Airlines Selects StandardAero For 737 Engine MRO
Mauritania Airlines has chosen aerospace maintenance specialist StandardAero to provide MRO support for the CFM International CFM56-7B and Leap-1B engines powering its fleet of Boeing 737NG and 737-8 aircraft.
Mauritania Airlines has chosen aerospace maintenance specialist StandardAero to provide MRO support for the CFM International CFM56-7B and Leap-1B engines powering its fleet of Boeing 737NG and 737-8 aircraft.
The agreement, unveiled during the Aviation Week MRO Europe 2025 event in London, is already in progress. StandardAero has received a CFM56-7B engine at its Winnipeg, Canada facility and a Leap-1B engine at its San Antonio, Texas, site for servicing.
This cooperation extends Mauritania Airlines’ relationship with StandardAero, which has previously provided APS 2300 auxiliary power unit (APU) repair services from its Maryville, Tennessee, facility in support of the airline’s Embraer E175 fleet.
“We know how critical it is for smaller fleet operators to be able to rely on their partners for responsive, timely support,” said Guillaume Limouzy, airline sales director for StandardAero’s airlines and fleet business unit.
StandardAero is an authorized CFM International MRO provider for the CFM56-7B engine. Since 2010, it has delivered a full range of services from Winnipeg. Recently, it added CFM56-7B capability at its Dallas Fort Worth International Airport facility, which is seeing demand from 737NG operators.
Founded in 2010, Mauritania Airlines operates from Nouakchott-Oumtounsy International Airport in the Mauritanian capital and serves 14 destinations across Africa and Europe. The carrier’s fleet includes one 737-700, one 737-800, one 737-8, two E175s and one ERJ-145.
