Georgia DoT signals Q-Free software roll-out
Dynamic Signals will be deployed across 8,500 traffic signal controllers in US state

Georgia Department of Transportation is to deploy Q-Free's Dynamic Signals software across 8,500 traffic signal controllers in the US state.
The upgrade, announced at ITS World Congress 2025 in Atlanta, is set to begin this autumn.
“By prioritising cybersecurity, the Georgia Department of Transportation is setting an example for agencies nationwide,” said Whitney Nottage, EVP of traffic management at Q-Free.
“This partnership shows how innovation and security can intersect to create smarter, safer, and more secure transportation systems. Georgia DoT is laying the foundation for a connected, data-driven future that will keep people moving safely for years to come.”
Q-Free says Dynamic Signals delivers end-to-end encryption, secure API-based communications, and advanced authentication.
The software integrates with Q-Free’s Kinetic Mobility advanced traffic management system platform, which Georgia DOT already uses statewide.
Dynamic Signals uses Q-Free’s Maxtime software suite and is, the manufacturer says, the "foundation" of its "next-generation controller ecosystem, which will provide future enhancements like connected vehicles, ramp metering, and adaptive signal control into the same secure platform.
