Over One Million Tons of Goods Crossed through Guilan Province in the First Ten Months of the Current Year
The Director General of Road Maintenance and Transportation of Guilan Province announced that during the first ten months of the current year, a total of 1,134,133 tons of goods were crossed through the province via the Astara and Anzali border crossings.
Fariborz Moradi stated that inbound transit to the province during this period amounted to 872,972 tons, marking a three percent increase compared to the same period last year. He also noted that the primary inbound transit commodities consisted of flour and wheat.
He further added that, within the same timeframe, 128,438 tons of goods were imported into the country by road transport fleets, all of which entered exclusively through the Astara border. The main imported items included lentils, barley, and various types of timber and boards.
Mr. Moradi continued that 1,080,885 tons of goods were exported via the province’s road borders during this period, entirely through the Astara crossing, reflecting a two percent increase compared to the corresponding period last year.
Highlighting overall border traffic, he noted that 261,161 tons of goods exited through the Astara port and Anzali border, adding that 45,803 trucks entered and 72,084 trucks departed the province through these border points during the reported period.
