DB Netz seeks quality and capacity

Quality, capacity and simplicity are the three core themes at the heart of the infrastructure management strategy being implemented by DB Netz, Chairman Frank Sennhenn explained at the opening ceremony for the IAF track technology show in Münster on May 30. Welcoming the German government's commitment to invest more in rail under its 2015-19 contract with the infrastructure manager, he said DB Netz wanted to improve the attractiveness of rail and attract 10% more traffic. This would require significant infrastructure work, both to boost quality and address capacity bottlenecks.
