Renovation and Major Repair Project in IKP Special Economic Zone Completed

The renovation and major repair project of transit warehouse T19 in the Imam Khomeini Port Special Economic Zone has been completed with a credit of over 1,500 billion rials.

Behrouz Aghaei, the Director General of Ports and Maritime of Khuzestan Province, announcing this news, stated: "With the aim of improving health indicators, increasing the productivity of covered spaces, and safeguarding essential and strategic goods entering the country, the comprehensive renovation operations of transit warehouse No. 19 of this large port complex have been successfully completed."

Referring to the necessity of updating port storage spaces, the Director General of Ports and Maritime of Khuzestan clarified: "This warehouse has been renovated with full compliance with current regulations, standards, and health instructions, in order to provide a completely safe and standard environment for the storage of sensitive goods and the preservation of national assets."

Emphasizing the speed and precision in the implementation of the construction phases, Aghaei added: "During the implementation of this project, fundamental measures including the renovation of the roof, walls, and flooring of the structure, the installation of modern ventilation and air exchange systems, the installation of advanced sectional doors, the ducting of cooling systems, as well as the complete improvement of the administrative sections and the surrounding area of this warehouse were fully implemented."

He noted: "The operation of this renovated warehouse in Aban (November) has enhanced the logistical capacity and the speed of cargo unloading at Imam Khomeini Port, further strengthening the grounds for better service to the country's goods supply chain."
