The visit, accompanied by members of the PMO’s Board of Directors and senior officials, included inspections of the Turkmen, Gaz, Fereydunkenar, and Nowshahr ports.

Strengthening Northern Maritime Infrastructure

During the visit, Rasouli met separately with the governors of Golestan and Mazandaran to discuss strategies for enhancing port infrastructure, developing maritime tourism, and promoting sea transport.

At Turkmen and Gaz ports, Rasouli toured passenger and tourism terminals and later joined an open discussion with employees of the Golestan Ports and Maritime Administration. He emphasized the organization’s commitment to addressing operational challenges, improving working conditions, and ensuring sustainable port development.

A parliamentary representative for western Golestan commended the PMO’s engagement, noting that Rasouli’s visit would help advance maritime-based economic development, job creation, and regional trade growth.

Collaborative Focus in Golestan and Mazandaran

In Golestan, Rasouli met with Governor Ali-Asghar Tahmasebi, reaffirming the PMO’s plans to revitalize provincial port capacities and complete critical infrastructure projects to enhance connectivity and trade.

The delegation continued its mission in Mazandaran Province, where Rasouli met with Governor Mahdi Younesi.
