PMO News Portal, Mazandaran, Iran – The Ports and Maritime Directorate of Mazandaran Province has reported significant progress in training, certification, supervision, and technical inspections during the first six months of the year 1404 (March–September 2025), according to Director General Saeed KiaKojouri.

Kia Kojouri highlighted that 476 maritime examinations were conducted during this period, resulting in the issuance of 1,842 seafaring documents for qualified applicants following legal procedures. To enhance health standards within the maritime workforce, the directorate also issued 1,284 seafarers’ health cards.

Vessel Certification and Technical Oversight

In the area of fleet monitoring, 180 certificates for active vessels were issued and renewed, while 95 vessel competency inspections were carried out by technical experts to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Focus on Training and Safety Compliance

Emphasizing the critical role of education in promoting maritime safety, Kia Kojouri reported that 93 inspections were conducted at maritime training centers to ensure that training programs align with approved educational standards.

Commitment to Safety and Productivity

“The goal of these initiatives is to enhance the skill levels, safety, and health of seafarers while increasing productivity within the province’s maritime transport sector,” KiaKojouri stated.
