High-level speakers from the US Department of Transportation will feature at the three plenary sessions at ITS World Congress 2025 this month.
Register here for the event, which is organised by RX and ITS America, and takes place 24-28 August at the Georgia World Congress Center.

• Tuesday, 26 August : Creating a Safer Future with Connected and Automated Technologies, focusing on the role of connectivity and automation in enhancing road safety and system efficiency, sponsored by Arcadis.
• Wednesday, 27 August : Realizing Growth through Secure and Interoperable ITS, exploring the economic benefits of digital infrastructure and the importance of interoperability, sponsored by Miovision Technologies Incorporated.
• Thursday, 28 August : Building a More Resilient Transportation System with AI & Emerging Technologies, discussing AI's role in enhancing infrastructure resilience and addressing transportation challenges, sponsored by Google.
The speakers from USDoT are: Michael “Rocket” Halem, principal deputy assistant secretary and acting assistant secretary for research and technology; Lee White, deputy assistant secretary for the office of the assistant secretary for research and technology; and Shaz Umer, director of strategic initiatives.
