Delphi Automotive, Kenny Construction

UK-based company Delphi Automotive has entered a commercial partnership agreement with Israeli firm Innoviz Technologies.

Innoviz’s proprietary LiDAR sensing solutions will be integrated into Delphi's system to provide advance automated driving technology, as part of the agreement.

The long-range LiDAR will enable safe and high-speed travel for Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous vehicles by providing precision object detection.

Kenny Construction, a wholly owned subsidiary of Granite Construction, has secured a $21m contract from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT).

The contractual scope includes reconstruction and widening of the Van Buren Street Bridge over Interstate 90/94 in Chicago, as well as the construction of a retaining wall at the north-west quadrant of the Jane Byrne interchange.

Improvements to the south-east corner of Elysian Field and the relocation of the existing Greektown monument from Quincy Street will also be completed under the contract.

The construction works are scheduled to commence this month and expected be completed by September 2019.
