Iran–Turkmenistan Hold Joint Border Meeting at Inchehborun Crossing
A joint border meeting between the Iranian delegation and their counterparts from Turkmenistan’s customs and border authorities was convened at the Inchehborun Border in Golestan Province.
During the session, both sides conducted a comprehensive review of key operational challenges, including customs procedures, transport processes, traffic management, transit operations, and a range of shared cross border issues.
The primary objective of the discussions was to enhance bilateral coordination, facilitate trade and transport flows, and strengthen the overall framework of border cooperation. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two parties emphasized the need for continued expert level sessions and sustained collaboration to eliminate obstacles and expand cross border engagement.
The Iranian delegation included the Director General of Golestan Customs, the Deputy Director of Transport at the Provincial Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization, the Director of the Inchehborun Border, the Head of Transit and International Transport, the Commander of the Atrak Border Guard and several border officials. The Turkmen side was represented by the head of Balkan Province border forces as well as customs and terminal representatives.
