The Overseas Freight Traffic through Inchehborun Border Up 48 Percent
The overall transport of foreign freight fleets through the Inchehborun border has surged by 48 percent in the first 7 months of the current year, reflecting a notable rise in regional trade activity and boosted trust among international transport companies in the border's growing capacity, according to Shahin Tafteek, Head of Inchehborun Border Crossing.
Mr. Tafteek reported that the increase stems from a 36 percent rise in inbound and a 77 percent rise in outbound foreign fleets compared with the same period last year.
He added that Iranian freight traffic through the terminal also grew by 23 percent overall, driven by a 44 percent increase in inbound and an 18 percent increase in outbound operations.
The border manager stressed that these figures demonstrate the expanding role of domestic transport fleets in cargo transit along Iran’s northeastern corridor, positioning the Inchehborun crossing as a key link for broader participation in emerging international transport corridors.
