Record-Breaking Trade Growth at the Bilehsavar Border Crossing: Over 386,000 Tons of Goods Exported in Six Months
The Bilehsavar Border in Ardabil Province has witnessed a significant surge in trade activity during the first half of the current year. According to the Manager of the Bilehsavar Border, over 386,000 tons of goods were exported from this key trade hub, marking a 3% growth compared to the same period last year.

Mr. Babaei detailed that this volume of exports was facilitated by 17,887 trucks, while 18,955 tons of goods were imported into the country via 910 trucks during the same period. Highlighting the border's strategic importance in transnational trade, he noted that 332,519 tons of goods were transported through 14,993 trucks in outbound transit operations.
The director further elaborated on the key trade commodities: multi-layer plywood, pinewood, barley, and various types of paper dominated the list of imports. On the export side, the terminal saw significant volumes of tiles, peppers, rebar, eggplants, potatoes, onions, salt, glass, and building stones.
Lotfollah Babaei also stressed the upward trajectory in exports and increased inbound transit, underscoring the exceptional potential of the Bilehsavar border in bolstering foreign trade and its pivotal role in the nation’s commercial exchanges.
