Fifth Meeting of the Transit and Borders Committee Convened with Senior Officials
The 5th Meeting of the Transit and Border Terminals Committee was held with the participation of the Deputy Minister and Chairman of the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization. The meeting focused on assessing transit capacity and the movement of goods and passengers at key border terminals in the provinces of *Khorasan Razavi* and *East Azerbaijan.*
Key discussions included:
• Evaluating the progress of development plans.
• Addressing existing challenges and proposing actionable solutions for the borders of *Jolfa*, *Norduz*, *Dogharun*, *Sarakhs* and Lotfabad.
The session was attended by senior officials, including:
• Deputy Heads of Road Administration, Planning and Resource Development, Technology Development and IT based development.
• The Director General of the Transit and International Transport Department.
• The Director General of the Economic Affairs, Investment and Financing Department.
• The Director General of the Legal Affairs.
• RMTO General Directors from the provinces of Khorasan Razavi and East Azerbaijan.
This high-level meeting reaffirmed the government's commitment to strengthening Iran’s borders, facilitating smoother transit operations, and enhancing the nation’s role as a critical hub for regional trade and connectivity.
