Major Upgrades at Khosravi, Tamarchin and Bashmghq Borders for the Arbaeen Pilgrims

The Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization has announced substantial progress in infrastructure development at the Khosravi, Tamarchin and Bashmagh borders, ensuring enhanced capacity and efficiency for the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage. These projects, aligned with the Arbaeen Headquarters' approved schedule, aim to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims with state-of-the-art facilities.

Khosravi Border:
• Construction of a 2x1600 kVA electrical substation (98% completed).
• Cooling and air conditioning system nearing completion (75% progress).
• Addition of 88 passport gates, with tendering underway.
• Temporary canopy installation (2,000 m²) and fogging systems (14,000 m²).
 
Tamarchin Border:
• Firefighting network improvements and hydrant valve upgrades (10% progress).
• Passenger hall and yard renovations (3,000 m²).
• Lighting tower repairs, temporary canopies (650 m²), and yard gate installations.
• Asphalt coating operations in progress.
 
*Bashmagh Border: *
• Scaffolding for processions on 2,000 m² and temporary canopies (1,100 m²).
• Installation of 100 water fountains for connected toilets.
• Air washer cooling systems fully updated and four water coolers renovated.
• Concrete flooring for pilgrims' paths (7,000 m²) completed and operational.
 
These initiatives reflect a commitment to facilitating a seamless, comfortable, and safe experience for the Arbaeen pilgrims.
