During this period, over 309,000 Iranian and non-Iranian pilgrims departed the country via Mehran, Shalamcheh, Chazzabeh, Khosravi, Bashmaq and Tamarchin border crossings. Simultaneously, over 108,600 pilgrims returned through these borders after visiting holy shrines.

The busiest exit points were Mehran, Shalamcheh and Chazabeh, while Shalamcheh, Mehran and Tamarchin were the most frequented on return routes.

Public transport also played a pivotal role, with 95,800 pilgrims utilizing 4,640 trips of the public transport fleet to depart, and 25,700 pilgrims returning on 2,782 trips. Key crossings for the outbound journeys included Mehran, Shalamcheh and Khosravi. For returnees, the Mehran, Bashmaq and Tamarchin borders were in highest demand.

This logistical success underscores Iran’s commitment to facilitating a seamless pilgrimage experience for the Arbaeen.
