Over 200,000 Tons of Cargo Transit through Northern Sistan and Baluchestan Border Crossings as Remarkable Growth

The Director General of Road Maintenance and Transportation of Sistan and Baluchestan Province has reported a significant rise in the cargo transit through the province's northern borders. Over the first two months of this year, a total of 204,928 tons of cargo were transported via 8,031 trucks through the Mirjaveh and Milk borders, marking a 28% increase in tonnage and a 24% rise in truck movement compared to the same period last year.

Providing further details, Ayub Kurd stated that 122,130 tons of goods passed through the Milk border terminal, while 82,798 tons were transited via the Mirjaveh terminal.
Highlighting the strategic importance of these borders, Mr. Kurd stressed their critical role in facilitating international trade and the transit of goods, remarking:
"The border crossings of Sistan and Baluchestan serve as vital gateways for economic activity and international commerce. The upward trend in transit volumes reflects the province's growing economic vitality and underscores its potential as a hub for enhancing trade interactions with neighboring countries."
