According to Mohammad Portimouri, the development and operationalization of eight monitoring centers for road and transport activities at border terminals realized. He further stated that, in addition to planning the installation of 45 monitoring systems along key routes to the borders, drones will be used to provide real-time aerial imagery from Mehran, Khosravi and Shalamcheh border points to monitor and manage the transport fleet.

Mr. Portimouri also noted the installation and operation of 12 license plate recognition systems at the Shahid Soleimani, Shalamcheh, Chazzabeh, Khosravi and Rimdan borders. Additionally, the development of license plate recognition cameras at provincial passenger crossings is being implemented to elevate service delivery during the Arbaeen travel period.

The Head of IRAN Road Management Center stressed that 100 in-vehicle cameras have been installed on transportation fleets to facilitate road and border crossing management and ensure real-time recording of road incidents. Furthermore, live feeds from monitoring cameras at high-demand passenger crossings will be integrated into the central road management and Arbaeen management centers to oversee travel demand during this period.

Portimouri also announced the development of software systems, including the "License Plate Data Mining" application (DAP), to support smart transport management during this year's Arbaeen pilgrimage. Updates to the traffic bottleneck identification system for Mehran, Khosravi and Shalamcheh borders, as well as the release of a dedicated Arbaeen edition of the comprehensive 141 Information System, will provide a streamlined travel experience and better services for pilgrims.

He pointed out the creation of a mobile data analytics system and explained that new infrastructure has been established to enable vehicle counting within the Shahid Raeisi parking lot and the Mehran, Khosravi, and Shalamcheh border areas. Additionally, minitoring imagery processing will be used to count pedestrian pilgrims in the Barakat parking lot and at the Mehran border crossing.
