Maritime Affairs Deputy Renews ISO 9001 Certification with Zero Non-Conformities in First Annual Audit

The Maritime Affairs Deputy of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization has successfully renewed its ISO 9001 Quality Management System certificate in its first annual maintenance audit, without recording a single Type 1 non-conformity.

PMO News Portal -  the audit was conducted in recent days by a reputable international certification company, evaluating the processes of the Ports and Maritime Organization's general offices in Gilan and Mazandaran provinces, as well as related departments at the organization's central headquarters.

Auditors assessed process compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements, the effectiveness of control implementation, the degree of quality objective achievement, and actions taken in the area of continuous improvement. The results, announced at today's closing session, indicated favorable performance by the Maritime Affairs Deputy in maintaining and enhancing the quality system.

The successful renewal of this certificate is the result of close cooperation among managers, experts, and staff of the Maritime Affairs Deputy at both headquarters and provincial port general offices, who have taken effective steps in establishing and continuously improving this management system with exemplary commitment.

It is worth noting that establishing a quality management system at the Ports and Maritime Organization, in addition to enhancing the efficiency of internal processes, plays a strategic role in compliance with international maritime documents and increasing the country's readiness for the IMO Member State Audit Scheme (IMSAS).

The Ports and Maritime Organization has extensive plans to extend the quality management system to all deputies and departments of the organization, aiming to create an integrated, process-oriented system based on continuous improvement to elevate service quality and overall organizational effectiveness. The Maritime Affairs Deputy's success in this audit stands as clear evidence of the organization's firm resolve to move toward standard-based, transparent, and accountable governance at the international level.
