Kish Airlines to Buy ۲ Airbus

TIN news:   Kish Airlines, which operates in Iran’s southern tourist hub and free trade zone of Kish Island, has signed a contract with French planemaker Airbus to buy two A321 passenger planes, which will be delivered by May 21, CEO of Kish Free Zone Ali Asghar Mounesian said. The official added that the airline is also in talks to buy two more Airbus jets, as part of plans to add 10 planes to its fleet in the next Iranian year (to start March 20). The lifting of nuclear sanctions under a historic deal between Tehran and world powers on Jan. 16 has paved the way for Iranian airlines to refurbish their aging fleet as a result of decades of restrictions. Last month, Iran signed a landmark agreement worth $10.5 billion to buy 118 Airbus planes for flag carrier IranAir.
