" The Cruise " Returns to ITV with Second Series in January ۲۰۱۷

TIN news: ITV's popular behind-the-scenes documentary, "The Cruise," will return for a six-part second series, from January 12 at 8:30 p.m., starring Princess Cruises' 3,560-passenger Royal Princess.
Produced by Wild Pictures for ITV, "The Cruise: Sailing The Mediterranean," will once again feature the voiceover of Downton Abbey's Hugh Bonneville, who will reveal what life is like onboard the ship for the 1,400-strong crew.
Filmed during the summer of 2016 in the Mediterranean, viewers will get an insight into the crew's daily activities, such as preparing more than 20,000 meals and servicing the ship's 1,800 cabins.
The second series is set to welcome back some familiar faces from the first series -- such as Timothy Gallant who viewers saw trade in his position in guest services for a role in the shore excursions team -- plus some new faces.
Princess Cruises' vice president UK and Europe, Tony Roberts, said: "Following on from the success of series one, which averaged 3.5 million viewers and has received a National Television Award nomination, we are excited to see what series two has in store for Royal Princess' crew and guests."
The first series of "The Cruise" aired from March 2016 and featured the line's 3,560-passenger Regal Princess, as the ship sailed through the Baltic Sea to ports such as Helsinki, Tallinn and St Petersburg.
Princess Cruises recently announced that Royal Princess -- which launched in 2013 in Southampton by HRH, The Duchess of Cambridge -- will return to the U.K. to homeport in Southampton in 2018 along with Sapphire Princess
