Regents Seven Seas Explorer Luxury Cruise Ship Debuts in North America

TIN news:  Regent's newest luxury cruise ship, Seven Seas Explorer, arrived in Miami this morning to begin its maiden Caribbean cruise season. Although the ship has been sailing in the Mediterranean since the summer, today is the first time the ship will depart from North America.
Explorer will primarily sail from Miami, offering mostly 10-night cruises to the Caribbean, Mexico and Belize -- including two calls at the newly opened Harvest Caye, an exclusive port of call built by Regent's parent company, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. The ship will spend New Year's on a 16-night Panama Canal cruise from Miami to Los Angeles, then return the way it came with a 15-night crossing. Explorer returns to Europe in late March.
The all-suite, all-balcony ship carries 750 passengers and has been dubbed "the world's most luxurious cruise ship," due to large standard balconies, multiple fine dining venues with no-holds-barred décor (three-ton bronze prayer wheel, anyone?), a huge spa with infinity pool, more than an acre of marble and an acre of granite used in the ship's design and  nearly 500 chandeliers.
