As Nigeria’s aviation market continues to grow, the country is set to host its first-ever International Airshow Dec. 2-4, 2025, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) in Abuja.
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo said the event signals the country’s “most ambitious” step yet.
“This is a decisive turning point for Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace future,” he said. “This is how we demonstrate capability, attract investment and open the door to new defense and commercial partnerships.”
The event will feature aerial displays and bring together global aircraft manufacturers, airlines—including Nigerian carrier Arik Air—air forces, regulators, financiers, and investors. Confirmed exhibitors include Textron Aviation, Leonardo Agusta, AVIC-KDN Airport Engineering, and Chinese aircraft manufacturer COMAC.
Organizers say the airshow will also highlight major continental initiatives such as the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM), both aimed at fostering seamless trade and creating a unified African airspace.
Keyamo said the International Airshow will become an annual event, “designed to attract investors, stimulate tourism, and expand opportunities for trade and foreign investment.”
