Capital A’s MRO venture Asia Digital Engineering (ADE) has attained Maintenance Organization Approval certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Repair Station Certificate from the U.S. FAA, as AirAsia affiliates seek more opportunities with international customers.
Since its establishment in 2020, ADE has obtained approvals from Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, and attained the EASA Part 145 certification in October 2023.
“While we remain the primary MRO for AirAsia, we now support a growing portfolio of airlines across the region and beyond—delivering world-class, safe, and high-quality, value-driven maintenance on a global scale,” ADE CEO Mahesh Kumar said in a statement. “These certifications enable us to offer our services to even more airlines internationally.”
To date, ADE has performed over 180 C-Checks, including international customers Himalaya Airlines, Hong Kong Jet, and Transnusa. Other clients include IndiGo, Philippine Airlines, Scoot, and VietJet Thailand.
