Air France to Launch New Service Between Pointe à Pitre and Atlanta

As from November 21, 2017, Air France will start operating its new Pointe à Pitre (Guadeloupe) – Atlanta (United States) route.

The airline will operate two weekly flights on the route with Airbus A320 aircraft offering up to 170 seats.

Customers departing from Pointe à Pitre will also benefit from connections to more than 60 US and Canadian destinations via Atlanta operated by Delta Air Lines. In this way, passengers will be able to use a single ticket for their entire trip, their baggage will be tagged to its final destination and they will be able to earn and use miles on all of these routes.

Customers departing from the United States and Canada will have easier access to the French West Indies, French Guiana and Air France’s regional Caribbean network as a continuation of the flight from Atlanta.

This new route is in addition to the regional Caribbean network operated by Air France. Customers departing from Fort de France (Martinique) and Cayenne (French Guiana) will also be able to fly to Atlanta as a continuation of the Pointe à Pitre service on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Customers departing from Atlanta and continuing on from Pointe à Pitre will be able to fly to Fort de France on Wednesdays and Sundays as well as to Cayenne on Wednesdays.

Air France’s regional Caribbean network links Pointe à Pitre (Guadeloupe), Fort de France (Martinique), Cayenne (French Guiana), Port au Prince (Haiti), Miami (United States) and now Atlanta (United States).

Two Airbus A320s (170 seats) and crews dedicated to this network operate more than 60 weekly flights between these different economic regional centers.

In addition, Air France offers eight destinations on departure from Pointe à Pitre or Fort de France: Saint Lucia, San Juan, Santo Domingo, Saint Martin Grand Case, Sint Maarten Juliana, St. Barthelemy, Fort de France and Barbados, operated on a code-share basis with Air Antilles. With its partner Winair, Air France customers also have access to 7 destinations in the Caribbean via Saint Martin: Saint Barthélemy, Dominica, Tortola, Saba, Saint Eustache, Saint Kitts and Nevis and Antigua.
