466,000 Freight Transport Movements Recorded at Imam Khomeini Port Freight Terminal within the Current Year
The Director of the Imam Khomeini Port Freight Terminal announced that 466,000 transport movements have been registered at the terminal over the first eight months of the current year, marking a 22 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
According to Seyed Omid Ahmadpour driver entry and exit processes at the terminal are fully recorded through a mechanized system, adding that each truck is issued only one loading permit per trip.
He further reported the implementation of several infrastructure improvements, including the repair and renovation of bath facilities and the boiler room, expansion and separation of parking areas designated for private vehicles, and reconstruction of perimeter walls—all aimed at enhancing welfare amenities and improving service quality at the terminal.
Ahmadpour added that, given the daily traffic of more than 4,000 heavy vehicles through the facility and in line with safety enhancement measures, a firefighting vehicle has recently been acquired for the terminal.
Addressing concerns regarding unpaid freight invoices, he stated that since the beginning of the year, a total of 7,800 complaint cases filed by drivers whose transport fees had not been paid by freight companies have been resolved.
