KHUZESTAN BORDER CROSSINGS RECORD OVER FOUR MILLION TONS OF TRANSSHIPPED CARGO
Over four million tons of cargo have been transshipped through Khuzestan’s border crossings over the first eight months of the current year, according to the Deputy Director for Transport at the Khuzestan Department of Road Maintenance and Transportation.

Fouad Ghazi’ali reported that of the total measure, 1,521,014 tons were moved through the Chazzabeh border by 69,138 trucks, adding that an additional 2,522,656 tons were transshipped via the Shalamcheh border crossing using 79,679 trucks.
The official noted that cargo transshipment at Chazzabeh has increased by 20 percent, while Shalamcheh has registered a five percent rise compared with the same period last year.
