The Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization has announced significant progress in service and infrastructure upgrades at the Chazzabeh and Shalamcheh borders in preparation for the Arbaeen 1404 pilgrimage.

These enhancements, focused on electrical systems, sanitation facilities, canopies and safety measures, aim to ensure a seamless and secure experience for pilgrims.
 
Chazzabeh Borders:
• Boosting electrical installations (60% progress).
• Complete repair of toilet number six (97%) and reconstruction near the customs area (65%).
• Installation of temporary canopy scaffolding (2,500 m²) and fogging systems (4,000 m²) with 95% progress.
• Landscaping under canopies (80%), addition of six trolley fire extinguishers and a 200-meter separating wall (95%).
• Construction of a 150 m² warehouse (4.5 meters high).
• Full upgrade of the chiller cooling system to enhance safety measures.
 
Shalamcheh Border:
• Repair and reconstruction of sanitary facilities (90% progress).
• Construction of a temporary canopy (4,500 m²) with 20% progress.
• Development of facility space in the passenger hall (80%) and building repairs (50%).
• Installation of fan and fogging systems for 7,000 m² of canopies (70% progress).
All initiatives are aligned with the goals of improving service quality, safety, and welfare for pilgrims. Continuous monitoring by technical staff ensures these projects are on track for timely completion and operation.
