According to Mehdi Khazri, speaking at a strategic planning session for Arbaeen 2025: “With ARBAEEN coinciding with the summer travel season, comprehensive planning is underway to maximize the capacity of the public road transportation fleet and deliver efficient services to citizens.”

Mr. Khazri also highlighted plans to engage the transportation fleets of neighboring countries in the pilgrim transport operations, adding: “The availability of 3,500 active buses in production and industrial units represents a critical capacity that will expedite the transport of pilgrims during peak ARBAEEN days.”

The Deputy Minister further stressed boosting construction and service infrastructure at six exit borders and three entry points to provide high-quality services to pilgrims.

Reflecting on recent successes, Khazri noted that during the return journeys for the Day of ARAFA, nearly 30,000 pilgrims were transported within a two-day period using 1,000 public road transportation fleets. These efforts, he said, underscore the national commitment to ensuring seamless mobility and efficient service delivery during the ARBAEEN pilgrimage.
