Guilan Province Reports Over 160,000 Tons of Goods Transited through Its Borders
The Director General of Road Maintenance and Transportation of Guilan Province has announced the transit of 168,282 tons of goods through the province’s boundaries during the first two months of the current Iranian year.
Fariborz Moradi highlighted that 149,721 tons of goods were transported via the Astara border, while 18,564 tons passed through the Anzali border.
Breaking down the figures further, Mr. Moradi revealed that 103,284 tons of goods entered the province, while 65,001 tons were transported out.
Specifically addressing the Astara border, Mr. Moradi noted that 19,428 tons of goods entered through this crossing during the reporting period. Additionally, over 269,000 tons of goods moved through the Astara border during the same timeframe, marking a 7% increase compared to the corresponding period last year.
These figures underscore the growing importance of Guilan Province as a critical hub for regional trade and transit activities.
