Dongguan Rail Transit Line 1 Enters Service

The Dongguan Rail Transit Line 1 has officially been completed, with the new line now operating passenger services.

Equipped with CRRC products; the line, which is Dongguan’s first GoA4 fully automated driverless metro line, has been designed to operate at speeds of up to 120 km per hour.

The line’s bogie-controlled braking system was designed by CRRC SRI, and is fully compatible with automated operations, enabling quick response, high control precision, safety redundancy and a high level of intelligent control.

New trains on the new Line, which were also developed by CRRC Puzhen, feature lightweight carbodies and bogies, aluminium-alloy brake discs, variable-frequency heat pump air conditioning, and regenerative braking.

Each train is equipped with air purifiers that aim to both sterilise and deodorise interiors, ensuring clean air, with waterborne coatings and generally environmentally friendly materials also used to minimise the impact on the environment.
