Open access operator Lumo has announced a slew of opportunities to join the company ahead of the launch of its new daily services between London Euston and Stirling.
The new route, which will offer up to ten services per day Monday to Saturday (eight on Sundays), is set to begin operation in mid-2026 and will include stops at Milton Keynes Central, Carlisle, and Motherwell, amongst others.
In order to accommodate its increased services; Lumo has announced a search for Qualified Customer Drivers to join its team, as well as a set of four Customer Experience Team Managers.
The roles will see successful applicants based in Preston, London Euston and Stirling.
Lindsay Gauntlett, People and Culture Manager at Lumo, said:
We’re thrilled to launch this rare opportunity to join the wider Lumo team, as part of our brand new service connecting London Euston and Stirling. This is a chance to be part of an organisation that’s passionate about supporting the customers and communities we serve.
We’re proud to champion inclusivity and encourage new talent to consider joining the industry. As of last year, 95% of our operational workforce had been part of our apprentice programme in partnership with Train’d Up. During the past three years, 29 women have completed the training compared to 27 men.
Lumo currently operates services along the East Coast Main Line between Edinburgh, Newcastle and London, with all routes operating 100% electric trains.
In addition to the newly announced route between London Euston and Stirling; the operator is also launching a route extension to and from Glasgow this December, and recently submitted an application to begin running services between Cardiff and York.
