Alstom has announced the opening of more than 150 new positions at its regional headquarters and train development site (TDS) in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec.

Alstom has announced the opening of more than 150 new positions at its regional headquarters and train development site (TDS) in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Quebec.

The new roles will consist of positions in the company’s engineering, procurement, finance, information technology, digitalisation and project management departments.

The company kick-started its recruitment journey with a career event at its Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville site on 25 September.

Playing a central role in a number of major contracts; Alstom’s Quebec site is involved in projects such as the design of new M9-A commuter cars for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York, as well as an additional order for 200 commuter rail cars for the New Jersey Transit agency.

The company is also preparing for design work on the Quebec City tramway and new Toronto subway trains.

Marie Couillard, General Manager of the site, said:

We are very proud to see our Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville site play such a strategic role in Alstom’s growth in North America. This period of expansion will allow us to continue developing our local expertise and innovation capabilities, as well as strengthening our role as a regional economic driver.

The Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville site has functioned as Alstom’s American headquarters since 2021, and currently employs 940 people.
