Škoda Group to Carry Out Service Contracts Worth €47.4 Million

The Škoda Group has announced that its site in Martinov, Ostrava, is set to carry out a set of contracts worth more than 47.4 million EUR following the successful acquisition of a number of tenders for service and repair work.

The Škoda Group has announced that its site in Martinov, Ostrava, is set to carry out a set of contracts worth more than 47.4 million EUR following the successful acquisition of a number of tenders for service and repair work.

The work will see the Group work with both domestic and foreign transport companies, with all contracts carried to completion at its Martinov site.

Contracted works include the repair of a number of T3 trams for the Transport company of Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou, with each car body receiving a complete renovation, new paintwork, interior repairs and electrical parts.

Once completed, the trams are expected to see their service lives extended by another 10 years. Work is due to be finalised by the 20th week of 2027 and is worth 1.29 million EUR.

Elsewhere, Škoda will provide intermediate inspection, servicing and repair services for a fleet of its 39T vehicles currently in use by the Ostrava Transport Company as part of a contract worth 4.02 million EUR.

Škoda will also carry out major inspection and overhaul repairs for up to 60 29T and 30T type trams, with the contract, worth around 30.4 million EUR, including extensive repairs to car bodies, traction equipment and bogies. The work is expected to last for 48 months.

Finally, the company will provide servicing for up to 54 Škoda 14T vehicles, with obligations including the inspection and servicing of electrical components on the roof of the vehicles and associated electrical parts to mechanical repairs and new paintwork. The contract is expected to reach a value of 11.8 million EUR.
